Dry shampoo and texture spray are my secret weapons during the summertime. By adding a little of this dynamic duo to your hair situation, you can get two, maybe three days out of each wash.

Yes, I wash my hair every 2-3 days.

Ew, what?

Trust me. Day 2 hair is what dreams are made of, people. Depending on how oily your hair is, I recommend washing it every 2-3 days. Let me clarify that you need to wash your body daily. Apparently, that is sometimes unclear. You must wash your body daily. Daily.

Let’s move on.

On Day 1, I shy away from using a lot of product. This freshly washed hair has to get you through the next few days so there’s no sense in gucking it up with product. I spray a very small amount of dry shampoo on my part line for a little volume and call it a day.

On Day 2, I tie my hair up while I shower and then use my flat iron to add a few beachy waves. After styling, I apply a few sprays of dry shampoo to my roots and around my face, if necessary. I finish things off with texture spray to amplify the messy look.

On Day 3, I do the same thing I did on Day 2 + a little more dry shampoo.
