I had the craziest dream last night: after chugging two morning coffees which allowed me to at least fake being human enough to field calls all morning, my stomach was imitating a whale’s mating call when I looked up from my computer and realized I had long missed lunch. So, in my green knit sweater, ripped jeans and leopard print flats, I waltzed outside, sans coat, ran an errand and grabbed food at the local Protein Bar just across the street from my work and ate outside.
Oh, wait. This wasn’t a dream. THIS HAPPENED TODAY. LIKE, I WALKED OUTSIDE WITH NO COAT, AND SMILED UPON THE FATE THAT IS 70 DEGREES IN MARCH. IN CHICAGO. DID I MENTION IN MARCH? DID I MENTION IN CHICAGO? A polar bear probably died today to bring Chiberia this weather, but I digress.
That was a long-winded way of saying SPRING IS COMING (Game of Thrones anyone?). And as stores are stocked with bright florals and pretty pastels, our tresses are equally desperate for a little brightening.
I tapped into my favorite salon, George the Salon, and picked their all-knowing brains about the trends that will be giving me major hair envy through the Summer Solstice. While it’s always easy to do an easy google search, I was beyond stoked to sit down and actually talk to their trained professionals, who receive an unprecedented amount of year-round training and continued education, and continuously apply it to client after client. They know their hair, and the best part is they know their talent. Last time I stopped by the salon, (it was my first time really coloring my hair and I was terrified, naturally) they listened intently to what I wanted, quadruple checked with me before taking action. The end result was everything I wanted… and then some. George the Salon is the perfect combination of applying their vision, and utilizing their talent to create precisely what their client asked for, but somehow even better.
