By pressing the windows button and PrtSc at the same time, Window 8 will automatically save a PNG image in your systems picture file.  Once you press the windows + PrtSc buttons you may think that nothing happened since there not a message that is given on your computer once the keys are pressed  but a quick look in your picture folder and you will find a printscreen folder and in the folder will be your saved screen shot.
